Got a few questions about what to expect when booking our beauty services? Below are a few questions we often get asked!
Try it Before you Buy it
If you want to try it before you buy it we do offer consultation and preview appointments for brides that are not contracted out. We cannot however hold your date or specific team members without the contract and retainer, so the sooner you book your appointment the better!
$100 preview appointment | per service outside of contract
Please note that we only will hold a wedding appointment date for the 24 hours following your preview appointment.
Consultation and Preview Appointments
How far in advance should I schedule my preview appointment?
We recommend scheduling a preview appointment anywhere from 1 - 3 months prior to your wedding. Any less than 3 months is fine, but what we've noticed for most brides is that the last month before your wedding is usually jam packed with other meetings and important commitments.
Do I really need to do a preview?
The preview appointment is the time where you and your artist will get to know each other. Details about your skin and hair are obvious discussions, but it is just as important for them to get to know your style, preferences and to develop a relationship where you can be honest about what your goals are and how they can achieve them.

What days can I schedule a preview appointment & how much time should I allot?
We generally schedule preview appointments during the week or after weddings booked on the weekend. Most of the team do not do Sunday trials. It will vary based on your team member's schedule and of course, yours! We always recommend allotting a minimum of 90 minutes per service for your preview appointment. This way we can ensure the end look is perfected and we have the opportunity to show your a couple of options. :)
Minimum Number of Services
Depending on the time of the year we do require a minimum to book our services. From April through October we require a 5 service minimum / $400 rate equivalent for weekend weddings.
For the rest of the year, November through March, we do offer a reduced booking minimum of 4 services/ $325 rate equivalent as well as our Bride Only package at a discounted rate of $300 day of services + $150 preview appointment.
With more than 8 ladies for hair or makeup we also recommend having an additional team member come along to speed up the getting ready process. We send a complimentary additional team member when you have 12 or more per service. Adding a team member is a flat $150 fee, plus travel & parking, if applicable.
Additional time or team members can be booked to accommodate larger parties.
Fun fact: The largest bridal party we have ever beautified was 24 lovely ladies! It took 3 hairstylists and 3 makeup artists 5 hours and it was accomplished with ease. :)
The Fine Print
Please be conservative in the number of services you request for your Bridal Services Contract-- it is way easier to just add needed services as we get closer to your date, versus. over committing early on, and end up paying for more services than you actually need. Please note that your retainer payment is due with your signed contract, and the remaining balance of your services is due at the time of your preview appointment. The final payment for your bridal party is due 30 days before your event date. If your bridal party members are paying for their services, they would need to make arrangements in advance to reimburse you.
To book we have a minimum fee of $400 weekends May through October and $300 per artist needed.
Additional fees such as preview appointments, travel fees, etc will not go towards the $400 minimum.
How long will the services take the morning of my wedding?
You can expect makeup applications and hair services generally take 30-45 minutes per person. We always prefer to have at least 45 minutes per service for our brides!
We typically require a minimum of 4 hours to perform our beauty services which allows us to easily accommodate 6 - 8 services with one artist or stylist.
What are your travel fees?
Our bridal teams travel fee starts at $25 for appointments further than 25 miles or more from their residence.
Note: we do always try to send the closest available artists to service you and your bridal party.
Parking & Travel Fees
We have a rather far reaching team so we can accommodate weddings happening just about anywhere in Northern, Illinois. Just let us know where we're needed and we will gladly travel to you!
All parking, transportation fees and other travel arrangements are the responsibility of the bride. This is why we need to know approximately where you plan for us to travel to as well as your general appointment time at the time of your appointment book. The first 25 miles are complimentary.
Who pays for parking?
The client is responsible for all parking as well as taxi/Uber/Lyft fees for the event. You can let us know of any special arrangements you have, otherwise all parking and taxi costs are to be paid at the time of service or charge to the credit card on file.
Do you work with destination events and weddings?
We love destination weddings! The logistics for these events can be more complex, so please email us with your info and details, and we'll work with you to set up the best appointment. In addition to our destination travel fees, we require airfare and accommodations to be provided for the event.
